There is a range of different qualifications which can be used to support your applications for jobs as an event technician. Before thinking about the credentials you’ll need for this job, though, it’s a good idea to consider the personal qualities you’ll need for it. Event Technicians have to be well-organized, have excellent time management skills, and be able to communicate with colleagues and customers effectively. Along with this, you will also need to be physically fit, as an Event Technician job will involve a lot of manual work.
In most cases, employers for this sort of role won’t demand specific qualifications, but this doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t benefit from having them. There are courses out there which can teach you how to organize events. Unfortunately, though, unless you find one from a proper school, it can be hard to get something like this recognized. To get more out of your learning, looking for a qualification which is a little broader can be a good idea. Hospitality is a vast field, and there are loads of reputable schools offering certifications in it, making it an excellent place to start your event technician’s journey.
